Overview

Sample Splitters ensure unbiased and repeatable division of material, preserving the original composition of the sample throughout the preparation process. Available as Rotary Sample Splitters, Linear Channel Splitters, and Riffle Splitters.

Process Role

After primary crushing, bulk samples must be divided into smaller portions. Improper division introduces sampling bias and analytical error, regardless of upstream sampling accuracy. Sample Splitters ensure every reduced sample remains fully representative.

Engineering Principle

Equal probability distribution: all particles in the sample must have an equal chance of being included in the final portion. Material is distributed evenly across multiple channels, maintaining controlled flow during splitting.

Core Engineering Features

Even Material Distribution

Uniform spreading of material ensures unbiased division across all sample fractions.

Reduced Sampling Bias

Precision design eliminates preferential flow or segregation during splitting.

High Repeatability

Consistent mechanical operation ensures identical results across repeated cycles.

Controlled Sample Fractioning

Adjustable configuration allows selection of required sample quantity.

Application Areas

After sample crushing
Before pulverization
Automated preparation lines

Process Impact

Reliable laboratory analysis (XRF/XRD)
Consistent raw mix control
Stable clinker chemistry
Reduced process variability

Engineering Outcome

Unbiased sample division. High repeatability. Reliable analytical input.

Operational Benefits

  • Unbiased sample division
  • High repeatability and consistency
