Overview

The Oswal Lab Hammer Crusher uses high-speed impact to crush friable and medium-hard materials, including clinker, gypsum, additives, and alternative fuels. A high-speed rotor with wear-resistant hammers impacts the material repeatedly, while a bottom screen or grate controls output particle size. The design ensures uniform crushing without segregation and with minimal sample loss.

Process Role

Clinker, gypsum, and alternative fuels require rapid impact-based size reduction rather than slow compressive crushing. The hammer crusher accepts these materials directly from the production line or sampling system and delivers a consistent crushed fraction ready for division and XRF analysis.

Engineering Principle

High-speed rotor-driven hammers impart repeated kinetic impact on material particles. The bottom screen retains oversized fractions for continued crushing until they pass the mesh opening, guaranteeing all output particles are within the specified size window.

Core Engineering Features

High-Speed Rotor with Swing Hammers

Wear-resistant swing hammers deliver rapid, high-energy impact for effective first-pass reduction of clinker and gypsum.

Screen-Controlled Output

Interchangeable bottom screen or grate meshes precisely define the maximum output particle size.

Suitable for AFR Materials

Handles alternative fuels and AFR additives alongside conventional cement process materials.

Quick-Change Screen System

Screens swap without tools in minutes to change target particle size between sample batches.

Application Areas

Clinker and hot-meal laboratory samples
Gypsum and set-retarder preparation
AFR and alternative fuel conditioning
Medium-hard additive crushing before XRF

Materials Handled

ClinkerGypsumAdditivesAFR materialsCoalCement raw materials

Process Impact

Uniform particle size distribution for reliable XRF analysis
Faster throughput for high-volume laboratory operations
Reduced preparation time for clinker and additive samples

Engineering Outcome

Rapid, uniform impact crushing. Controlled output size via screen selection. Maintained representativeness for XRF and XRD analysis.

Operational Benefits

  • High crushing efficiency for friable materials
  • Interchangeable screens for flexible output size
  • Wear-resistant hammers for extended service life
  • Easy cleaning and cross-contamination prevention between batches
